Llangynidr Gundogs is proudly run by professional Gundog Trainer Nigel Probert, based near Gwent in South Wales.

My journey began with training and working Labradors for rough shooting and picking up. As my passion and skills grew, I progressed to competing in working tests and field trials. Today, I am proud to be a full-time professional Gundog Trainer and competitor.

Over the past 11 years, I have had the honour of representing both Wales and Great Britain in international gundog tests. A standout moment in my career was leading the UK Team to victory as captain at the Kennel Club Working Test in 2022.

I provide bespoke 1-2-1 and small group gundog training sessions, catering to all levels—from introducing puppies to gundog training, to fine-tuning the skills of dogs competing at open competition standards. I also offer general training for domestic pets, helping owners overcome common behavioural challenges and develop positive, lasting relationships with their dogs.
